Privacy Policy

Last updated: [DATE]

This policy explains what we collect, why, who else sees it, and how to make us delete it. It describes what this site actually does — not a generic list.

Who we are

wjm@mcreasoft.com. Postal address and email are on the Contact page.

What we collect, and when

If you fill in an email form: your email address, the first name you type if you type one, the page you submitted from, your IP address and the time. We ask for nothing else.

If you buy something: ClickBank takes your payment and sends us your name, email address, and details of what you bought. We never see your card number. It does not pass through this website at any point.

If you have an account: we create one for you at purchase so you can reach your library. It holds your name, email address, and what you own.

Automatically: server logs, and whatever cookies your browser accepts (see below).

Why we hold it

To deliver what you bought, to give you access to your account, to send you the transactional emails that go with an order, to send marketing email if you asked for it, and to keep records of sales.

The basis for processing is: performing our contract with you (delivering your purchase), your consent (marketing email), and our legitimate interest in keeping the site working and secure.

Who else sees it

  • ClickBank — retailer of record. They process payment and handle refunds, under their own privacy policy.
  • Our email provider — if you subscribe, your address and first name are passed to the service that sends our email, so that it can be sent.
  • Our web host — stores the site and its database.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with anyone else except where the law requires it.

Cookies

WordPress sets a session cookie when you log in to your account — without it you cannot stay signed in. ClickBank sets cookies as part of checkout and affiliate tracking, under their policy. If a third-party badge or script is displayed on a page, it may set its own. You can block cookies in your browser; if you block ours, the member area will not work.

Marketing email

We only email marketing to people who asked for it. Every one carries an unsubscribe link and our postal address. One click removes you, and we do not make you explain yourself. Transactional email about an order you placed is separate and continues regardless.

How long we keep it

Subscribers: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete you. Order records: as long as we are required to keep business and tax records. Server logs: a short rolling window.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to processing, restrict it, or receive your data in a portable form. Email us and we will act on it — we do not require you to justify the request.

One limit worth stating honestly: we cannot delete records we are legally required to keep, such as transaction records for tax purposes. We will delete everything else and tell you what remains.

Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, tell us and we will remove it.

Security

Downloads are served through expiring signed links rather than public files. Account passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text. Payment details never reach this site. No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise — but we do not hold the data that would hurt you most, because ClickBank holds it instead.

Changes

We will update this page when things change, and the date at the top will change with it.
